The historical background of the CIDEM Hranice, a.s., the CETRIS division
CIDEM Hranice, a.s., the CETRIS division belongs to the important producers of high quality boards in Europe. Already in the twenties in the last century the mixing of cement with wooden particles in the building industry begun and the new stage for agglomerated boards production started. The first wood-fiber boards have been produced in the year 1940 by pressing together the cement and a certain amount of very long wooden fibers. Later in Sweden the wooden chips were added into the cement and this was the first version of the modern particleboards material. The first plant for production of today's cement-bonded particleboards was established in Switzerland in 1967.
In the Czech Republic the plant for the cement-bonded particleboards production was founded in 1987. The plant having the most modern European technological equipment has been put into operation in 1991. Since then the cement-bonded particleboard produced under the trademark of CETRIS® has gradually found its use both on domestic and foreign building sites. Nowadays the CIDEM Hranice, a.s., the CETRIS division became the biggest producer of the cement-bonded particleboards in Europe.

Nowadays the CIDEM Hranice, a.s., the CETRIS division belongs to the significant producers of the quality building materials in the Czech Republic. The company produces in its plants the modern building material - the cement-bonded particleboards - known under the trademark of CETRIS®.

The targets fulfillment strategies
We take for granted the permanent high quality level of our products, because it is the basic condition for keeping our market position. Above all our endeavor is proved by the Czech (European) standard ESN EN ISO 9001 Quality Certificate for the CETRIS® cement-bonded particleboards
In order that our formula remains applicable in the future, we pay continuous attention to the quality of our products. In 1996 we were awarded the ISO 9002 certificate of quality. Since 2003 we have held the ESN EN ISO 9001:2001 quality certificate in systems management from the internationally accredited certification company Lloyd`s Register Quality Assurance.
The production of CETRIS® cement-chip tiles is supervised by testing institutes in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Poland and Holland. Since mid 2004 we have held the CE certificate based on EN 13986, which includes a complete technical certificate and proves that the products are compliant with the requirements of the European market.
In our joint stock company we emphasize the hot news concerning the CETRIS® applications in the building area, these news are coming from our own resources. Both the technical support of sale and educational system of our customers became a matter of course.
